Our relationship might not have gone down the most conventional road, we certainly don’t have a “sweep me off my feet” crazy people kind of love, and we are definitely anything but perfect. But what we do have.. It’s an easy kind of love. It’s sitting with our feet up having a beer while watching the game, lazying around eating pizza in bed and playing dominoes in your backyard. However more importantly than that, its the mutual understanding that we both have our own separate lives and responsibilities, that sh*t happens sometimes, there are things out of our control, and that temporary anger, annoyance, or frustration is almost always fixed by giving each other time.

I never thought that love could be sane. I just assumed that everyone goes batshit crazy and that I was doomed to endless fights about pointless crap that doesn’t matter. I always thought the choice was between head or heart, but I learned that following your heart didn’t mean you couldn’t bring your brain along for the ride too. But who knows, maybe it did turn me batshit crazy and I’m too blind to see that my head stopped doing the talking a long time ago. It might be a very real possibility.

Although you and I have made some mistakes, and you annoy the hell out of me sometimes, all I do know for certain is that falling for you has been the most extraordinary thing I have ever done
